Hello Mr. Zebra, can I wear your sweater?

This is another older photoshop project I started over a year ago.  Its based on the song by Tori Amos Mr. Zebra. At first glance I like it, but I also think it needs a lot of work.  There is to much open space in the middle of the photo and could probably use some more depth.  I'm not completely sure what it is exactly and by now I would rather start from scratch then try and correct it, so I figured I would just post in away and see if I can get any feed back worth thinking on?
