Typo Face

I had to build a face using only text for my typography class, and this is what I came up with.... She reminds me of the Disney movie the Aristocats old lady.

Seeing through a hole

I drawed this from a picture I took of Becca through a c.d. hole... Its colored and charcole pencils. I realize it looks like she is picking her nose but its a miss communication as far as seeing goes...

Dice!!!

This here is a crosshatch drawing I did of my dog Dice done with ink pens... It was a very tedious job and nerving trying not to screw up considering I couldn't erase anything. I really wanted to do something of Dice to have around since I knew I was giving her up to my parents when I moved. It hangs over my bed where my roommates dog likes to jump up the wall below barking at it as though it was a real other dog in the room, very funny...

Rest at the brick wall...

My daily design has lost its daily promise for a while, but my excuse is based on working again. At this point I can't wait until I am back in school so I can actually make designing more then play time on photoshop but required purpose. It just adds to my motivation is all...

This here is a painting/color pencil piece I did a few months ago. The bike is all colored in pencil work and the brick wall is watercolors paint. I really enjoyed doing this one, so much so it took me less then a week to do. Hope you enjoy!

Alex Saylor

This is a really old picture I took of a friend and I originally did about the same smokey effect and highlighted certain color details within black and white but that one had major imperfections even though I really liked it, so I basically just fixed it up a bit. Hope you like!

Flower Dancers

So in the beginning of last semester I had absolutely no idea what to make in my computer generated image class.  My imagination was fried without a camera. (I ended up getting a student camera right after this though.) I didn't have any new pictures of my own I felt confident about using so I went scanning the google and getty images... It makes me ashamed to admit it, it truly does. I ended up coming up with this flattering but simple design image of culture dancers with a flower they felt to play the part to I felt.  I took each flower picture and dancer girls and cut them out of their original state and collaged them together in this one long image. I think beside the horrific thought to myself they are not from my own pictures I like it all the same....
